SFIA 5 Product Manager - Government - Up to £500 pd - Active SC Required

Role: Product Manager - SFIA 5 / Senior Consultant

Rate: Up to £500 per day - Inside IR35

Location: Leeds - Hybrid, travel to Leeds once per sprint

Clearance: Active SC is essential

Start Date: 7th September

Client: Major UK Government Department

We are looking for an experienced SFIA 5 Product Manager to join a major Government programme based in Leeds.

This is an initial contract with a long-term pipeline of work. You will be working in a multidisciplinary agile team delivering user-centred services at scale.

The Role:

As a Senior Product Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Owning product vision, strategy and roadmap for complex digital services
  • Leading discovery and delivery across the full product lifecycle
  • Balancing user needs, business goals and technical constraints
  • Prioritising and managing a complex backlog, making evidence-based decisions
  • Managing and influencing a wide range of senior stakeholders
  • Working closely with Delivery Managers, Tech Leads, Designers and User Researchers in an agile environment
  • Ensuring alignment with GDS Service Standard and agile best practices

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager at SFIA 5 / Senior level
  • Strong background delivering complex digital products in Agile environments
  • Experience defining product roadmaps, MVPs and managing large backlogs
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional agile teams

Desirable:

  • Central Government experience is highly preferred
  • Understanding of GDS Service Standard
  • Active SC clearance - this is essential for this role, candidates without active SC cannot be considered
