Job Overview
Hazeltree is seeking an experienced Product Manager – Securities Finance to own the vision, roadmap and delivery of the Securities Finance product within the Hedge Fund product suite. Reporting to the Head of Product – Hedge Funds, this role will translate client needs, market trends and regulatory developments into clear product initiatives that deliver measurable value and support Hazeltree’s strategic objectives. Working with Engineering through Hazeltree’s 2-in-a-box delivery model and AI enabled PDLC/SDLC, the Product Manager will own the backlog, prioritise development initiatives and drive delivery in partnership with Sales, Client Services, Professional Services and clients.
This role offers the opportunity to shape a strategically important product area, work directly with sophisticated hedge fund clients, and influence how Hazeltree evolves its Securities Finance capabilities across product, engineering and client-facing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership
- Own and maintain the Securities Finance product roadmap.
- Define, prioritise and communicate product initiatives aligned with business strategy.
- Balance client requirements, commercial opportunities, regulatory obligations and technical investment when determining priorities.
- Produce clear Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain a prioritised product backlog and support successful product releases.

Client & Market Engagement
- Build trusted relationships with clients to understand business challenges and future requirements.
- Gather, validate and challenge business requirements to ensure solutions deliver long-term value.
- Monitor market trends, competitor offerings and regulatory developments to identify opportunities for product enhancement.
- Support Sales, Professional Services and Client Services with product expertise.
Product Delivery
- Partner closely with Engineering throughout the software development lifecycle using AI enabled SDLC/Full Stack Agentic Delivery.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, solution design, testing and release activities.
- Ensure delivered functionality meets agreed business objectives and client expectations.
- Monitor product adoption and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Securities Finance Expertise
- Act as the product subject matter expert for Securities Finance workflows, including Securities Lending, Prime Brokerage, Agency Lending, Financing, Collateral Management and relevant regulatory initiatives.
- Provide product guidance to internal teams and represent Hazeltree confidently during client engagements.
AI & Continuous Improvement
- Operate within Hazeltree’s AI-enabled Product Delivery Lifecycle by leveraging AI tools to improve research, specification/product requirements document creation, documentation, product planning and delivery processes.
- Identify and execute on opportunities to incorporate AI capabilities into the Securities Finance product where they provide measurable client value.
Proprietary Data & Client Insights
- Identify and develop unique data and analytics generated from hedge fund platform activity that can be provided back to clients as differentiated insight — benchmarking and trend analysis unavailable elsewhere.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of product management experience preferably in the financial services industry. Experience and success creating product vision, roadmap, prioritization through to successful outcomes with clients.
- Strong knowledge of Securities Finance, Securities Lending, Prime Brokerage or related hedge fund workflows.
- Experience translating business requirements into technology solutions.
- Experience working with software engineering teams to deliver product or business change.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise competing initiatives using commercial, strategic and client considerations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong client-facing experience with the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Experience may have been gained within Product Management, Business Analysis, Operations, Business Change, Professional Services or Project Delivery.
- Experience with AI & Agile delivery methodologies and product management tools such as Claude Code, Claude Design, Azure DevOps, Jira or Aha! is desirable.
- Ideally proficiency in leveraging AI tools to generate user stories/markdowns for engineering, product documentation and release notes, and marketing materials.
