Job Description
You will take ownership of the service portfolio strategy and lifecycle management for the FDV business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Installed Base Analytics & Business Insights: Analyze installed base data to identify trends, opportunities, and gaps that support portfolio decisions, service strategies, targeted campaigns, and product development.
- Service Strategy Facilitation: Facilitate and support the service strategy process for the FDV business unit, ensuring alignment between market needs, installed base opportunities, business goals, and functional roadmaps.
- Portfolio Ownership & Lifecycle Management: Own the service portfolio from concept to launch to retirement, including value proposition definition, business case development, lifecycle planning, performance monitoring, and rationalization.
- Service Product, Solution & Campaign Launches: Lead the development and launch of new service products, solutions, and commercial campaigns, ensuring successful go-to-market execution in collaboration with sales, service, and marketing teams.
- Voice of Customer: Gather and translate customer needs, pain points, and feedback obtained through direct customer interactions into actionable portfolio improvements, innovation priorities, and service concepts.
- R&D Roadmap Input: Define and prioritize service-related development needs and translate them into clear requirements for the R&D roadmap, ensuring future offerings support customer needs and strategic priorities.
- Market Intelligence & Competitive Insights: Monitor market developments, customer trends, industry dynamics, and competitor activities, and use these insights as input for portfolio management and strategic decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with after-sales, sales, technical support, field service, R&D, and marketing to ensure alignment on service portfolio priorities, launches, communication, and execution.
- Marketing & Commercial Enablement: Collaborate with marketing on events, campaigns, communication materials, and value messaging to support portfolio visibility, customer engagement, and sales effectiveness.
- Portfolio Performance Management: Track portfolio performance, adoption, profitability, and customer impact, using data-driven insights to optimize offerings and improve commercial success.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, service portfolio management, aftermarket management, or a related commercial/technical role in industrial equipment or packaging machinery.
- Strong understanding of service business models, installed base management, and lifecycle management.
- Experience translating customer needs and market insights into successful products, solutions, or services.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use installed base and market data to drive decisions and identify growth opportunities.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with service, sales, R&D, and marketing teams.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders in an international environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English; German is a plus.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits, market analysis, and internal collaboration.
