About the job you're considering
We're looking for a Product Manager to join our growing team. You will be joining a growing and exciting profession of Product Managers (PMs) ranging from associates starting out on their careers to PMs with many years of experience with different clients, all of whom work together to deliver value for our clients, whilst continually sharing knowledge and expertise.
Hybrid working
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your role
What you’ll do:
- Be trusted to own the vision and influence the team to ensure that the client receives high-impact and value from each iteration.
- Understand business needs, IT constraints and priorities and be able to make decisions – the backlog is owned by you, and you play a crucial role with your BA to ensure it is correct.
- As the agile squad is often cross-functional, your client-facing presence is essential – with the ability to communicate clearly at sprint reviews. But you will also have the skills required to support the BA or Service Designers.
- Have people management responsibilities and actively support the development and career progression of other PMs.
- Understand industry trends, look for new opportunities for work within your projects, contribute to proposals and drive innovation which will increase client value e.g., use of Generative AI to enhance business processes.
Your skills and experience
We'd love to meet someone with experience in:
- Experience in a user-centered product or service development project.
- Ideally - Experience working with Government Digital Service (GDS) service standards, using GDS design principles.
- Vast knowledge and understanding of agile delivery.
- A passion for working with cross-functional business and IT teams to deliver business outcomes.
- The ability to make decisions on business priority, working with business analysts to ensure requirements are known, defined and able to be built and delivered.
- Influence and leadership to steer our digital delivery projects, working with our leaders in Capgemini and our clients.
- Commitment to professional development, with relevant agile certifications such as PSPO and / or CSP-PO

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
