About Xata
Xata builds Postgres infrastructure for agentic workloads. We let teams spin up isolated database branches in seconds so every AI agent (and every developer) can safely experiment, test, and run workflows against production-like data without putting production at risk.
We've raised $35M (Series A led by Index Ventures and Redpoint), backed by founders like Guillermo Rauch (Vercel), Shay Banon (Elastic), and Neha Narkhede (Confluent), with years of runway ahead.
We're a remote-first team focused on making branching, data movement, and lifecycle management feel fast and dependable for modern software development.
What You'll Be Doing
We’re looking for our first Product Marketing Lead to build the engine that helps developers discover Xata. This isn’t a traditional product marketing role focused on sales collateral or release notes. You’ll own how we launch, position, and distribute our product so that every feature reaches the developers who need it.
You’ll work closely with our founders, engineering team, designer, and GTM Engineer to turn weekly product releases into stories that developers want to read, share, and build with.
You'll own what we build and why, working shoulder to shoulder with engineering and the founder to define the agentic Postgres category.
In this role, you will
- Own Xata’s product positioning and messaging.
- Build launch strategies for every product release.
- Create campaigns that turn one launch into weeks of content across multiple channels.
- Grow awareness through developer-focused content, SEO, AI search, social media, newsletters, videos, and communities.
- Work with customers to tell compelling technical stories.
- Develop messaging for AI platforms, engineering teams, and modern developer workflows.
- Partner with engineering to explain technical concepts in ways developers immediately understand.
- Work with our GTM Engineer to build landing pages, interactive demos, automations, and launch assets.
- Measure what drives awareness, signups, and adoption, and continuously improve it.
- Help define how developers think about production cloning and AI-native Postgres.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
