Why This Role Is Different
If you are the kind of marketer who plans before activating, checks the data before adjusting, and holds yourself to a high standard on every piece of work you put out, this role was built for you. As Product Marketing Lead for Payroll at Cintra, you will own the full marketing mix across our payroll portfolio, driving quality pipeline across both our Cintra Cloud software and outsourced bureau services.
This is a role for someone who combines genuine analytical rigour with commercial drive and the cross-functional credibility to work effectively across sales, product, SDR and agency partners all within a business that has been delivering payroll and HR services across the UK for over 40 years. In this role, you will:
- Build and own the quarterly marketing plan covering channel mix, campaign activity, MQL targets and budget across both payroll audiences
- Review performance monthly against MQL targets, adjusting the channel mix based on what the data tells you
- Use competitor monitoring, customer data, market news and search visibility data to identify and prioritise opportunities with evidence and precision
- Work with the Head of Demand Generation on ICPs that focus pipeline generation on quality, reflecting the distinct buyer profiles for software versus outsourced payroll
- Brief and manage the paid media agency and deliver campaigns against MQL targets
- Lead LinkedIn strategy, events, webinars and partner and affiliate marketing activity across both payroll audiences
- Work closely with the SDR team on sales enablement, competitive positioning and lead intelligence
- Own review generation on G2, Capterra and Trustpilot and develop case study opportunities across software and outsourced payroll customers

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We’re Looking For

You are analytically rigorous, commercially driven and genuinely collaborative. You are also comfortable working across multiple teams and managing agency relationships with structure and discipline.
Essential
- 3 to 5 years in B2B product marketing, growth marketing or demand generation with a proven track record of generating quality pipeline in a competitive market
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with MQL performance data. You will know what to look for and what to do when something is not working
- Experience directing agencies across paid media, PR and content within structured approval and governance processes
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. You will manage multiple campaigns and channels simultaneously without dropping your standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across sales, product, SDR, content and agency partners
- A self-starter who thrives under pressure, meets deadlines and does not need to be chased
- Comfortable marketing two distinct propositions to potentially different buyer types within the same target market
