About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Product Marketing Lead to bring commercialization efforts for a portfolio of pricing, profitability, and transaction-enablement products. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Pricing, Analytics, Sales, and Customer Success, translating complex business capabilities into compelling value propositions that drive customer adoption, engagement, and revenue growth.

The ideal candidate brings strong product marketing fundamentals, a commercial mindset, and the ability to simplify complex concepts for customers. They are equally comfortable developing go-to-market strategies, influencing product direction, conducting market research, and measuring business impact.

This role owns the marketing strategy and adoption of products and initiatives that help customers improve profitability, make better business decisions, and increase utilization of our solutions.

Outcomes and Activities

Own Commercial Growth Outcomes

  • This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to our Southfield, Michigan office may be required. However, this position is permitted to work at our Southfield, Michigan office if requested by the team member.
  • Partner with Product, Pricing, Sales, and Analytics teams to identify opportunities to drive customer adoption, engagement, and revenue growth.
  • Analyze customer behavior, usage patterns, and business performance to identify barriers to adoption and opportunities for increased value delivery.
  • Establish success metrics, monitor performance, and recommend actions that improve business outcomes.

Product Positioning & Messaging

  • Develop differentiated value propositions, positioning, and messaging for pricing, profitability, and transaction-enablement products.
  • Translate complex financial, operational, or technical concepts into clear customer benefits.
  • Create customer-facing narratives that resonate with target audiences and support business growth objectives.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across marketing, sales, training, and customer communications.

Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end go-to-market planning for new products, enhancements, pilots, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop launch plans, adoption strategies, enablement materials, and customer communication programs.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure successful execution and ongoing product adoption.
  • Support sales and customer-facing teams with training, messaging, and value-selling tools.

Customer & Market Insights

  • Conduct customer research to understand needs, pain points, decision drivers, and competitive alternatives.
  • Perform market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
  • Synthesize quantitative and qualitative insights into actionable recommendations for Product and business leadership.

Measurement & Optimization

  • Define and track key performance indicators related to product adoption, customer engagement, revenue growth, and launch effectiveness.
  • Use data-driven experimentation and testing to optimize messaging, positioning, and commercialization strategies.
  • Develop reporting and insights that inform ongoing business decisions.

  • Strong product marketing expertise, including positioning, messaging, customer segmentation, and go-to-market planning.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, customer-centric stories.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and lead through cross-functional partnerships.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action and continuous improvement.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to navigate diverse stakeholder perspectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, Pricing Strategy, Commercial Strategy, Revenue Operations, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies for complex products or services.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Sales, Analytics, and Operations teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into business recommendations.

Preferred

  • Experience marketing financial services, fintech, SaaS, B2B technology, automotive, lending, insurance, or other complex products.
  • Experience commercializing pricing, revenue, profitability, or transaction-based solutions.
  • Experience conducting customer research and competitive intelligence to inform product and go-to-market strategy.

Targeted Compensation

  • $150,000 - $172,000 base salary + an annual bonus plan.

This position is not currently open to individuals who require sponsorship now or in the future to work legally for Credit Acceptance, such as H-1b / H-4 or F-1 OPT visa holders.
