I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Pixel for Business team’s mission is to accelerate Pixel's growth by positioning the hardware and software as the premier mobile solution for businesses of all sizes, from Small and Medium Businesses (SMB) to large enterprises. We leverage tailored messaging and strategic co-marketing partnerships to demonstrate how the Pixel ecosystem—powered by Google’s leadership in AI, security, and productivity—solves business problems and enhances operational efficiency. Being that we are Google, we take immense pride in the unique ability to own the full stack—from silicon to software to the cloud—which enables us to build a unified 'One Google' narrative and deliver the truly innovative solutions required to empower organizations to thrive in an AI world.

Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.
