Role Overview
Product Marketing is a global team with 25 members serving as the primary marketing contact for investment teams by offering comprehensive end-to-end support for their marketing materials and communication needs. Examples include Factsheets, Presentations, Commentaries, Brochures, Profiles, External Communication, Market Reaction, and Website content. Product Marketing members leverage their specialised platform knowledge to deliver compelling stories, high-quality marketing materials, and enhance global reach. The team acts as a central hub, partnering with various stakeholders such as portfolio managers, product, compliance, channel marketing, design, digital, client coverage, and client reporting teams to deliver a diverse set of high-quality, compelling materials that accurately represent our investment teams, products, and the firm.
The Client Reporting Team is the central owner of portfolio data and client facing analytics. The team prepares portfolio and market specific materials, including institutional client reporting, portfolio and product analytics, exposure and summary statistics, performance attribution and portfolio review materials. Client Reporting members use data and automation skills to deliver accurate, timely analytics in line with investment management agreements. The team acts as a data hub, partnering with portfolio management, client coverage, product, RFP, legal, marketing and IT teams.
We are seeking a finance, economics, mathematics, or computer science graduate for an 18-month traineeship at Neuberger.
The trainee will work with both the Product Marketing and Client Reporting Teams. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to join the marketing and client coverage groups serving a range of key stakeholders with both data and marketing materials.
Working with Product Marketing, the candidate will assist in the production of marketing materials and in the improvement of existing processes. The successful candidate will have exposure to all asset classes by participating in the issuance of factsheets for the UCITS / QIAIF / Mutual Fund platforms, collaborate on select marketing materials, and partner with a range of teams globally. The trainee will develop an understanding of the firm's diverse product offerings, investment capabilities, and the distinct characteristics of its broad range of investment strategies.

Working with Client Reporting, the primary focus of the role will be to automate portfolio analytics for client reports, produce client reporting, respond to client questionnaires, support data collection and data quality checks, and complete ad hoc requests. The trainee will develop proficiency in key reporting tools and build an understanding of how portfolio data supports clients, consultants and portfolio management teams.
The position will suit an enthusiastic person who prides themselves on their ability to multi-task, problem-solve and demonstrates thorough attention to detail. This role would provide an excellent opportunity for a candidate to learn about the investment management industry and investment solutions, benefiting from close interaction with a broad range of teams across the firm.
Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in the monthly factsheet production cycle with maintenance and delivery of factsheets to investment teams and internal/external distribution.
- Accountable for the timely update of multiple marketing materials including profiles and product briefs; also assist with commentaries and presentations.
- Improve the quality and efficiency of existing data processes.
- Partner with Compliance for the approval of marketing materials for distribution.
- Automate reporting templates and improve the efficiency of monthly deliverables for the client reporting team (Excel and PowerPoint templates).
- Maintain and improve tracking mechanism for client reports and ad-hoc requests.
- Automate data aggregation & update team’s SharePoint site with historical analytics.
- Assist in vendor and IT related projects (Morningstar, Aladdin, Bloomberg, Investment Monthly Report and data warehouse).
- Respond to RFP data and ad-hoc requests as needed.

Qualifications & Personal Attributes
- 2:1 or above university degree ideally from finance, economics, mathematics, or computer science degrees.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a diverse group of professionals.
- Excellent time-management, planning, and organisational skills.
- Deadline-driven, collaborative, and able to multi-task.
- Solutions-oriented and proactive with the ability to improve processes.
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is essential.
- An interest in using A.I. to improve and automate processes.
- Experience in a Marketing or Client Reporting role at an asset management firm preferred.
- Basic understanding of financial markets and interest in investment management.
- Morningstar Publishing System, Seismic and Monday.com software knowledge useful but not essential.
- An interest in developing Excel, VBA, and Python knowledge.
- Curious and willing to learn about the industry.
