IRIS Software Group is looking for a Product Operations AI Analyst to join our growing Product Operations function. This is a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of Product, AI, data and operational excellence, helping shape how one of the UK's leading software businesses uses AI to drive smarter decisions, greater efficiency and stronger commercial outcomes.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional analyst role.
You'll be responsible for turning manual reporting into intelligent, automated insight. Working closely with the Senior Manager, Product Operations, you'll use AI, automation and analytics to improve the tools, processes and reporting that support Product teams across IRIS's Accountancy, Payroll, HCM and Education divisions.
You'll help answer critical business questions including:
- Are our product investments generating the outcomes we expected?
- Are customers adopting new capabilities?
- Where should we continue investing, and where should we stop?
- How can AI remove operational friction across Product teams?
- How do we create a single trusted source of truth for reporting and decision-making?
What You'll Be Doing
As our Product Operations AI Analyst, you'll:
Drive Product Analytics & Decision Support
- Build and maintain trusted reporting across Product, Commercial, Finance and Leadership teams.
- Analyse product telemetry, customer feedback, roadmap delivery data and commercial performance to generate actionable insights.
- Develop dashboards and reporting that support portfolio reviews, roadmap planning and business decision-making.
- Measure whether product investments are delivering their intended outcomes.

Lead AI & Automation Initiatives
- Identify opportunities to deploy AI tools that improve Product team productivity.
- Build reusable AI workflows, prompts and automations.
- Create low-code and no-code automations that eliminate manual effort.
- Develop AI-powered solutions for reporting, process management and operational workflows.
- Help establish self-service AI capabilities that scale across the organisation.
Generate Business Insight
- Synthesise large volumes of qualitative and quantitative data, including customer feedback, support tickets, research findings and commercial information.
- Create insight reports that help product leaders identify emerging trends, opportunities and risks.
- Support OKR tracking, portfolio performance measurement and operational reporting.
Partner Across the Business
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Commercial, Finance, IT and Security teams.
- Help solve operational challenges through data, analytics and automation.
- Turn complex information into clear, meaningful insights for stakeholders at all levels.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines analytical thinking with a genuine enthusiasm for emerging AI technologies.
You'll likely have experience in a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Product Operations or AI-focused role and be excited by the opportunity to shape how AI is used within a large-scale software organisation.
You'll Bring:
- Experience working with data, reporting and business analysis.
- Strong analytical skills across both structured and unstructured datasets.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude or ChatGPT.
- Experience creating automations and process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
- Curiosity, initiative and a desire to continually learn and experiment with new technologies.
- A pragmatic, outcome-focused approach to problem solving.
Desirable Experience
- Product Operations or Product Management environments.
- Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar BI platforms.
- Power Automate, Zapier, n8n or comparable automation platforms.
- Python and/or SQL.
- Jira, Confluence, Aha!, Pendo, Notion or Figma.
- Experience supporting OKR tracking or management reporting.
- B2B SaaS environments.
