Product Owner

London / Hybrid
Contract

10-12 years of experience in leading large-scale digital transformation programs across Payments, KYC, Remittances, Tokenization, and ERP modernization initiatives, ensuring successful delivery aligned with business objectives and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end program execution, including roadmap planning, release management, risk mitigation, governance, budget oversight, and executive stakeholder communication.
  • Partner with business leaders, product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to define digital strategy, operating model transformation, and product delivery approaches across global markets.
  • Lead complex payments transformation initiatives covering card payments, real-time payments, tokenization, merchant services, remittance platforms, and digital banking solutions.
  • Champion Agile transformation using SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies, coaching distributed teams and improving delivery predictability, quality, and time-to-market.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships, ensuring alignment with program objectives, compliance requirements, and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Drive program governance, metrics tracking, dependency management, and executive reporting while ensuring delivery excellence across multiple workstreams.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, risk, compliance, and business teams to deliver scalable, secure, and customer-centric digital solutions.

Your Profile

Essential Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale digital transformation and enterprise modernization programs within Payments, Banking, or Financial Services domains.
  • Ability to prioritize initiatives based on business value, risk, strategic objectives, and customer impact.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery frameworks including Scrum, SAFe, Lean, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience managing cross-functional, globally distributed teams across business, product, operations, and technology functions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with business, product, technology stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Sound understanding of payments ecosystems, digital banking platforms, tokenization, remittances, KYC processes, and enterprise integration patterns.

Desirable Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making capability.
  • Leadership, decisiveness, and the ability to guide and mentor high-performing cross-functional teams.
  • End-to-end architecture knowledge across payments, digital banking, and enterprise platforms.
  • Experience in cloud transformation, API-led modernization, and microservices-based architectures.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to global payments and financial services organizations.
  • CSPO, PSPO, SAFe POPM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile/Product Ownership certifications preferred.
