At Saga, we're transforming the way we develop products for our customers, and we're looking for a Product Owner to play a pivotal role in shaping what's next.
This is an opportunity to join our New Product Delivery team at the heart of Saga's Insurance business, where you'll help bring new and exclusive products to market that make a real difference to our customers. Working across Technology, Commercial and Product teams, you'll take ownership of the product backlog, ensuring we deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions that support our ambitious growth plans.
You'll be joining at an exciting time, working on the development of new products and enhancements that will help define the future of Saga's insurance offering. If you enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, turning ideas into reality and seeing the direct impact of your work on customers, this is the perfect opportunity to make your mark.

- Working closely with Business Analysts to refine user stories, acceptance criteria and product features.
- Acting as the key link between business stakeholders, technical teams and external delivery partners.
- Leading sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives, ensuring delivery teams remain focused on the highest-value work.
- Championing customer needs and business outcomes throughout the product lifecycle.
- Monitoring delivery progress across multiple Agile workstreams using Jira and other reporting tools.
- Identifying and managing delivery risks, dependencies and issues, escalating where appropriate.
- Validating completed work against business objectives and agreed acceptance criteria.
- Using customer insight, data and performance measures to inform product decisions.
- Promoting Agile best practice and supporting continuous improvement across delivery teams.
The Ideal Candidate
You'll be an experienced Product Owner (or someone with a strong Agile delivery background) who enjoys working with both business and technology teams to deliver customer-focused digital products.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
