🚀 Product Owner – AI / Mortgage Technology
💰 £80,000 – £85,000
📍 Kent – 2 days per week onsite
I’m working with an established technology business within the mortgage industry who are looking for a Product Owner to take ownership of an exciting, newly developed AI-led compliance product.
The product has been designed to help mortgage compliance teams automate time-consuming checks, reduce manual processes and make compliance reviews more efficient – and they already have their first client on board.
They’re now looking for someone to take real ownership of the product, working closely with customers, senior stakeholders and the wider product team to understand feedback, prioritise improvements and drive the product forward.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What they’re looking for:
- Strong Product Owner experience, ideally within mortgages / mortgage technology
- Mortgage industry knowledge is essential – you’ll need to understand the mortgage journey, terminology and the data involved
- An understanding of mortgage compliance and why certain checks are carried out – you don't need to be a compliance expert
- Strong delivery focus and the ability to genuinely own and drive a product
- Comfortable working directly with clients to gather feedback and shape future improvements
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to simplify complex information
- Genuine curiosity around AI and how it can be used to improve mortgage processes
- Exposure to tools such as Claude Code would be a bonus, but isn't essential
