Product Owner | SC Cleared
We're looking for an experienced Product Owner to join a major government digital transformation programme delivering secure identity and access management services used by millions across the UK.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping critical digital services, working within a high-performing agile team to define product direction, manage delivery priorities, and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver real user value.
Please note: Active SC Clearance is essential for this role.
What you'll be doing
- Own and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring user stories and acceptance criteria are delivery-ready.
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to translate strategic initiatives into actionable epics and user stories.
- Drive product priorities across multiple agile teams, balancing business value and delivery objectives.
- Support sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives as part of an agile delivery environment.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Delivery Managers, Architects, Engineers, and DevOps teams.
- Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to senior stakeholders.

What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager delivering complex agile software projects.
- Experience within government, identity, fraud, financial crime, or secure digital services is highly desirable.
- Active SC Clearance (essential).
- Strong experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, and stakeholder expectations.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Experience working within cross-functional agile teams.
- CSPO, PSPO, or similar Product Owner certification is advantageous.
