Product Owner
Private markets data, Private Credit
Location: London
Type: Hybrid
Salary: Up to 85k + Bonus & Benefits
The Role
- Works alongside ratings analysts and credit research teams to identify what they know that can become data.
- Runs discovery with customers across the credit market: funds, lenders, asset managers, banks.
- Turns what analysts and customers say into a roadmap of small, practical releases.
- Ships first versions from spreadsheets, documents, and existing datasets. Gets them used. Ships the next.
- Prototypes in SQL and notebooks, or partners with someone who does, before engineering commits.
- Reports usage and commercial signals from each release.

Required
- Three to ten years' experience in financial services, financial data, or fintech.
- Has owned or shaped something with data in it that others depended on: a dataset, a feed, a model, a screen, a report series, a data process.
- Has worked directly with subject-matter experts or customers to define what gets built, and can describe what changed as a result.
- Comfortable with data: SQL, Excel modelling, Python, or notebooks. One of these, not all.
- Credible in a room of credit or investment professionals, or able to become so quickly.

- Product managers and product owners at data vendors, credit research platforms, fintechs, or asset managers.
- Credit, ratings, leveraged finance, structured credit, or fixed income analysts who have built tools or datasets others used.
- Consultants who have delivered data, reporting, or platform work for private markets or credit businesses.
- Investment data, fund data, or portfolio data specialists at managers, lenders, or fund administrators.
- Business analysts or product specialists who have carried a data product from definition to release.
