Role overview:

Product Owner
Location: London
Address: Currys London Campus at Waterloo
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: Full Time
Grade: 4

We’re iD Mobile, one of the UK’s leading mobile virtual network operators. We launched in May 2015 and now have over 2.6 million Pay Monthly subscribers. We’re pretty sure our success has a lot to do with our wide range of feature-packed plans. We offer everything from super-value SIM-only deals, right up to the latest smartphones from the big-name manufacturers. We’re delighted about our success so far and have ambitious plans for the future.

iD Mobile is an exciting place to work. We’re a relatively young and dynamic start-up, and we value innovation, imagination, and creativity. If you’ve got a great idea, we’ll help you run with it. We’re passionate about finding new ways to address our customers’ needs. We’re a little different to other start-ups, though, because we’re part of Currys PLC, Europe's leading electrical and mobile retailer. So, while iD Mobile has only been going for a few years, we’re part of a much bigger family.

As a Product Owner for the iD app, you'll play a key role in improving app journeys for iD Mobile's customers. Reporting to the Senior Digital Product Manager, App, and working with teams across the business and external partners, you'll help shape and deliver app changes that improve the customer experience and support business priorities.

Role overview:

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Backlog & Roadmap Ownership - Manage the app product backlog across journeys, prioritise initiatives aligned to customer needs and business goals, and support roadmap planning
  • End-to-End Delivery - Drive app initiatives from concept through launch and optimisation, writing clear requirements, user stories, and flows for internal and external teams
  • Data-Driven Optimisation - Use customer insights, behavioural data, performance metrics, and operational feedback to identify improvement opportunities and track KPIs (adoption, usage, satisfaction, retention)
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work with teams across Customer & Marketing, Online, Operations, Commercial, Finance, Technology, and external partners to shape and deliver improvements
  • Technical & Compliance Management - Manage iOS and Android releases, monitor app stability and performance, and ensure journeys meet regulatory, Consumer Duty, and accessibility requirements
  • Customer-Centric Advocacy - Champion the customer perspective in decision-making, keeping app journeys simple, effective, and focused on user needs (no line management responsibilities)

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
