Contract: Permanent / Full-time
The role
We’re looking for a Product Owner to take day-to-day ownership of a range of smaller and mid-sized digital products and services used by a large member community.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, working with stakeholders and subject matter experts, and turning business and user needs into practical product improvements.
You’ll work closely with the Product Manager and a range of internal teams and third-party development partners to shape requirements, manage backlogs and help deliver the product roadmap.
What you’ll do
- Own and manage backlogs for selected products and services.
- Gather and clarify requirements with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria and product requirements.
- Support roadmap planning, prioritisation and product discovery.
- Work closely with development, UX, testing and external delivery partners.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support delivery from discovery through to release.
- Use member feedback, data and stakeholder insight to identify improvements.
- Support UAT, releases, documentation and product communications.
- Identify risks, dependencies and trade-offs, escalating where appropriate.
- Review product outcomes and help shape future priorities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You don’t need to be technical or a developer, but you should be comfortable working with development teams and external suppliers.

You
We’re looking for someone curious, practical and proactive — someone who rolls up their sleeves, asks questions and brings new thinking.
You’ll be organised, collaborative and comfortable working through ambiguity. You’ll enjoy learning from subject matter experts while bringing your own ideas, and you’ll take ownership of your products and see things through.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your product ownership skills while working on products and services that have a real impact on a large member community.
