Product Owner - Financial Services | Outside IR35 - Up to £575 per day

Location: London - Hybrid 2 days per week

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the vision, strategy, and delivery of a key business platform supporting partner relationships, customer engagement, and commercial growth across our Retail business.

This is a highly visible role, responsible for defining product priorities, managing stakeholder demand, and ensuring successful delivery of both strategic change initiatives and continuous improvements. Acting as the bridge between business and technology teams, you will drive value through a structured, transparent, and commercially focused product approach.

The successful candidate will be comfortable operating at senior stakeholder level, influencing investment decisions, shaping future roadmaps, and ensuring business objectives are translated into tangible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in line with wider business objectives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, ensuring requirements are understood, prioritised, and delivered effectively.
  • Manage and maintain the product backlog, balancing competing business priorities and resource constraints.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and value realisation across the product lifecycle.
  • Lead roadmap planning and prioritisation discussions with senior stakeholders and governance forums.
  • Promote and embed Agile ways of working across business and delivery teams.
  • Work closely with technology, change, and operational teams to maximise delivery outcomes.
  • Manage relationships with third-party suppliers and strategic partners.
  • Ensure product investment decisions are supported by clear business cases, benefits, and measurable outcomes.
  • Monitor product performance, user adoption, and engagement, identifying opportunities for enhancement.
  • Support the transition from project-based delivery to a continuous product ownership model.
  • Ensure all governance, risk, and regulatory requirements are adhered to.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
