About the role

The Product Owner is a key role in this, engaging with clients to understand their challenges & working with Agile Scrum teams to deliver the best possible solution.

Product Owners engage with users and colleagues at all levels of seniority; they make change happen and represent BigHand positively, internally and externally.

What you’ll do

  • Develop a strong understanding of the domain, understanding customer and user needs along with product capabilities.
  • Communicating with stakeholders (internal and external) ensuring the goals and vision are clear, and are aligned with the business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the product designer and engineers to discover effective solutions, and then work together to deliver the solution to the market.
  • Product backlog management.
  • Define low level requirements (as User Stories) to deliver the product goal.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as planning, refinement, daily stand-ups, showcases and retrospectives.
  • Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development.
  • Support market research on new features & products.
  • Support sales and marketing events with demonstrations of new products and features.
  • Support workshops and share insights to generate feedback.
  • Map business processes & create workflow models.
  • Produce lo-fi design documentation (i.e. wireframes) where necessary.

What we’re looking for

Required

  • Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery.
  • Clear communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to analyse problems and find solutions
  • Ability to work accurately and thoroughly
  • Excellent planning & organisation skills.
  • Experience with SCRUM and Agile.
  • Ability to facilitate user workshops, brainstorming exercises.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities

Desired

  • Experience with Enterprise software.
  • Experience with Legal markets.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Balsamiq.
  • Experience with BI and Analytics, Web, and/or Mobile development.
  • Experience working with remote development teams.
