Join us as a Product Owner at Mettle
Drive the vision and delivery of high-impact features within customer due diligence and financial crime, from initial design to launch.
Creating the vision for your product area, acting as the go-to person for its roadmap.
Collaborate with design and engineering to prototype and validate solutions that are not just feasible, but genuinely solve customer friction.
What you'll do
Join the Mettle Scalable Business Mission as a Product Owner, taking full ownership of your product area’s strategy to solve customer and business problems.
You’ll also be:
- Translating complex business and technical needs into actionable user stories, ensuring the team has clear direction to deliver high-quality, impactful features
- Using qualitative data and qualitative customer insights to prioritise the backlog, ensuring we always tackle the highest-value problems first
- Proactively collaborating with stakeholders, balancing diverse business priorities and effectively communicating your product area roadmap to ensure alignment
- Upholding rigorous product governance, focusing on risk management and regulatory compliance
- Ensuring all features are viable, usable, and feasible throughout the product lifecycle.

The skills you'll need
To join us in this role, you’ll need experience building and shipping products, preferably in banking or financial services, with practical experience navigating financial crime and customer due diligence requirements within a regulated environment.

You’ll also be expected to have:
- Passion for identifying operational and customer needs and solving complex problems
- Be able to conduct customer research, map out customer journeys and identify opportunities
- Proven experience in digital product discovery, delivery, and operations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders effectively
- A technical background with a fundamental understanding of product, software, development and UX with an understanding of technologies across mobile, web and APIs
- An enthusiasm for exploring new challenges and working across a broad scope
