Product Owner – Knutsford, UK
We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to drive product strategy, roadmap, and delivery within a Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment. The role involves working closely with senior stakeholders, business teams, technology teams, and customers to deliver high-value product enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Own product vision, roadmap, priorities, and feature delivery.
- Act as the primary product representative for business and senior stakeholders.
- Manage product backlog, user stories, refinement, sprint planning, and acceptance.
- Identify new product opportunities, customer pain points, and improvement areas.
- Manage dependencies, priorities, live issues, and product delivery metrics.
- Develop business cases and secure stakeholder funding for new initiatives.
- Collaborate with technology teams to define and deliver product features.
- Conduct market/user research and drive continuous product improvement.
- Manage product risks, governance, and stakeholder relationships.

Must-Have Skills

- Strong Product Owner/Product Management experience in SAFe/Scaled Agile environments.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including senior leadership engagement.
- Experience with roadmaps, backlog management, user stories, prioritisation, and Agile ceremonies.
- Experience creating and presenting business cases.
- Knowledge of payments and protocols such as SWIFT, ISO 20022, BACS, or CHAPS is preferred.
- Understanding of APIs and product management methodologies is desirable.
- Exposure to AI tools such as Claude or Copilot is a plus.
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification is desirable.
