Job Spec:

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to drive product strategy, support senior stakeholders, and help shape the future of a digital banking landscape. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an agile environment and can balance stakeholder management, product delivery, and strategic thinking.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead product management initiatives and help define strategic direction.
  • Act as the face of the product for stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Work closely with other Product Owners and business stakeholders to manage and negotiate dependencies.
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories for the technical team.
  • Review and accept work completed in sprints.
  • Participate in story refinement and sprint planning sessions.
  • Identify new product ideas, feature enhancements, and opportunities for funding.
  • Build business cases and present them to senior stakeholders.
  • Engage with users to understand behaviours, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prioritise live issue fixes and collaborate on product improvements.
  • Work with Tech and Domain Leads to track metrics, drive improvements, and build domain roadmaps.
  • Contribute to product management risk, compliance alignment, and financial performance.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and regulatory changes.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience in Scaled Agile (SAFe) environments.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Exposure to AI tools such as Claude or Copilot is a plus.
  • Understanding of payment protocols such as SWIFT, ISO 20022, BACS, and CHAPS is preferred.
  • Knowledge of API, product management, and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with customer journey mapping, story mapping, empathy maps, or market research is advantageous.
  • SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager certification is desirable.
