Key Responsibilities
- Own, refine and prioritise the product backlog for API platform and related digital service capabilities.
- Work with engineering, architecture, UX, security, DevOps and business stakeholders to translate outcomes into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Shape API marketplace, developer portal, API reuse, onboarding journeys and governance improvements.
- Lead discovery, prioritisation and delivery planning across business value, customer impact, risk, dependencies and technical feasibility.
- Manage stakeholder engagement, communicate roadmap choices and provide clear rationale for trade-offs.
- Support agile delivery ceremonies, backlog health, sprint readiness and value realisation against agreed outcomes.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Technical Product Lead or similar role in enterprise digital delivery.
- Practical understanding of APIs, API gateways, developer portals, API catalogues or marketplaces, and API lifecycle management.
- Experience working with engineering and architecture teams in Agile delivery models.
- Ability to write clear user stories, define acceptance criteria and maintain a prioritised backlog.
- Strong stakeholder management across business, technology, architecture, risk and delivery functions.
- Comfortable operating in a regulated, complex and delivery-focused environment.

Desirable Experience
- Financial services or banking domain exposure.
- Exposure to platforms such as Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, Azure API Management or similar API management tools.
- Understanding of OpenAPI specifications, API standards, service integration and platform governance.
- Experience improving developer experience, self-service onboarding or reusable platform services.
- Awareness of cloud-native delivery, DevOps practices and secure-by-design engineering.
