Contract Location: London Hybrid (3-4 days on-site)
Contract Duration: 6 months initially (with potential extension)
Contract Start Date: Immediate
Contract Classification: Inside IR35
Daily Rate Breakdown
- Traditional Daily Rate: £450
- Agreed Contract Rate (ACR): £346.95
- Equivalent Annual Salary: £90,206 + £10,887 holiday pay

Overview
Deloitte is supporting an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner to join a leading global financial services provider specialising in Asset Management, Investment Servicing and institutional investment solutions.
We are seeking a candidate with strong product ownership, process re engineering, and business analysis expertise to support and evolve the entire collateral management process.
The successful candidate will deliver scalable, pragmatic solutions that strengthen operational resilience and execution. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic capital markets environment from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Own assigned initiatives, managing scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and issues through delivery
- Track benefits realization and delivery outcomes across the product portfolio, ensuring initiatives deliver measurable business value and support operational efficiency objectives
- Leverage deep understanding of Agency Lending / Securities Borrowing and Lending (SBL) Collateral Management across multiple asset classes
- Partner with Risk to proactively manage processing risk and embed appropriate controls
- Collaborate with Technology, Operations, and Risk teams to ensure aligned and effective product delivery
- Define business problems and design solutions through detailed process mapping and analysis using tools such as DrawIO
- Assess end to end processes to reduce manual touchpoints, eliminate bottlenecks, and strengthen controls
- Establish close connections with business partners to assess process and system enhancement opportunities and understand business requirements
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs
- Define, measure, and track KPIs and KRIs across key milestones
- Manage project plans and milestone delivery to ensure deadlines are clearly defined and met
- Coordinate activities across multiple initiatives and stakeholder groups
- Identify, escalate, and resolve risks and issues, driving timely decision making and progress to resolution
- Act as a liaison across work streams to drive alignment on plans, status, and risk reporting
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm solutions meet business requirements and support successful releases
- Support strategic initiatives, technology enhancements, and ad hoc requests
- Promote knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across the Operations user base
- Establish forums for ongoing engagement with stakeholders, acting as the point of contact for product related questions and ongoing collaboration
- Communicate program and project status to senior management and stakeholders on a regular and ad hoc basis

Essential Skills & Experience

- 10+ years of experience in Financial or Asset Services as a programme manager or product owner, delivering high impact, cross functional initiatives across global teams and business units
- Strong background and understanding in Agency Lending / Securities Borrowing and Lending (SBL) Collateral Management to deliver value to the business and our clients. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge across all collateral types (tri-party, bilateral non-cash and cash), re-investment and collateral allocation across multiple asset classes
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Technology, or an equivalent field
- Strong understanding of risk management, controls, and controls design frameworks
- Solid knowledge of the institutional marketplace, asset classes, and investment product offerings
- Professional certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, Six Sigma, Lean, or Change Management are preferred
