Product Owner and Release Manager
Exciting opportunities in a growing team
Role
cellXica is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Product Owner & Release Manager to help shape, coordinate, and deliver next-generation private mobile network and radio communication products. Working closely with engineering, QA, operations, and commercial stakeholders, you will own both the product lifecycle and release management process, ensuring products are delivered on time, meet customer requirements, and align with business objectives.
This role combines strategic product ownership with hands-on coordination of software, firmware, and hardware release activities across multiple development streams. You will act as a central point between engineering teams, customers, and leadership to ensure smooth planning, testing, release readiness, and deployment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in telecommunications, wireless networking, embedded systems, or industrial technology environments who enjoys working in a highly technical and collaborative organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership
- Define and maintain product vision, roadmap, and priorities across cellXica’s product portfolio.
- Translate customer and market requirements into clear product specifications, epics, and user stories.
- Work closely with software, hardware, RF, FPGA, and systems engineering teams throughout development cycles.
- Own and prioritise the product backlog within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Engage with customers, integrators, and commercial partners to understand operational requirements and market trends.
- Coordinate product feature planning and go-to-market readiness.
- Analyse competitor products, emerging technologies, and industry developments within private LTE/5G and critical communications sectors.
- Support customer demonstrations, proof-of-concept deployments, and technical workshops.
- Collaborate with technical writers and marketing teams to produce product documentation and customer-facing materials.
- Ensure product decisions align with commercial objectives, customer outcomes, and technical feasibility.
- Track product performance, customer feedback, and enhancement opportunities post-deployment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
