Product Manager/Product Owner - Digital Platform - API - Standards & Architecture
As a Development Manager you will lead the strategy, ownership, delivery and ongoing evolution of the organisation's Digital Platform and API/Integration capabilities. You'll ensure digital applications and integrations are designed, governed and delivered to support business objectives, digital transformation and enterprise architecture, security and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Strategy
- Own the vision, roadmap and backlog for the Digital Platform, APIs and integration services.
- Drive the evolution of the platform to support business growth and digital transformation.
Platform Delivery & Lifecycle Management
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of digital applications, APIs and integrations from discovery through to release and support.

Architecture & Technical Governance
- Define and maintain API and integration standards in collaboration with architecture teams.
- Present solutions through architecture and technical governance forums, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.

Agile Delivery
- Champion Agile ways of working, leading planning, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with business leaders, technical teams and delivery partners.
- Manage third-party suppliers, ensuring high-quality delivery, performance and value for money.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Solution Architects.
- Support the growth and capability development of the team as the platform evolves.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner within a technology or digital environment.
- Experience delivering and managing digital platforms, applications, APIs or integration solutions.
- Strong knowledge of API technologies and integration patterns, including REST, SOAP, synchronous and asynchronous services.
- Experience working within enterprise architecture, governance and technology delivery frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage both technical teams and senior business leaders.
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies and product delivery practices.
- Knowledge of information security, data protection and compliance standards, including GDPR and ISO 27001.
- Professional certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, SAFe POPM, Scrum or SAFe are desirable.
