Product Owner

As a Product Owner with our client, you’ll help build proactive applications that bring intelligence to email, conversations, organising and everyday workflows, with minimal to no prompting. The ambition is to help people spend less time managing their lives and more time on the things that matter. The product focuses on reliable, long-running workflows, persistent context and real-world task completion.

You’ll sit at the intersection of user needs, model capabilities and engineering constraints, working directly with ML and engineering teams to define how the system should behave, how its quality is measured and how it improves.

These opportunities suit hands-on product professionals with strong technical judgement and direct experience delivering LLM-powered products. You’ll join a small team with broad ownership and the scope to challenge technical decisions, shape priorities and take responsibility for what reaches users.

What You’ll Do

  • Own end-to-end requirements for AI capabilities, connecting model behaviour, system behaviour and user experience.
  • Translate model capabilities, evaluation results and technical constraints into clear product decisions, specifications and delivery priorities.
  • Work closely with ML, backend and client engineers on system design, evaluation and iteration, ensuring user needs remain central to technical decisions.
  • Make informed trade-offs across quality, latency, cost, reliability, safety and user experience.
  • Define and evolve evaluation frameworks across offline metrics, online experiments and human feedback, giving the team clear evidence of what works and what needs to improve.
  • Identify hallucinations and other failure modes, ensuring AI experiences behave predictably and recover gracefully.
  • Set clear quality standards and feedback loops, taking ownership of correctness, reliability, usefulness and user trust.
  • Keep roadmaps and priorities clear, using real-world feedback to guide fast, focused iteration.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You’ll Bring

  • Hands-on experience with AI-powered products, particularly LLM-based systems, with clear examples of your contribution and the outcomes delivered.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals and system design skills, with the confidence to read technical designs, understand architectures and engage deeply with engineers.
  • A solid understanding of modern ML and how AI systems behave in production, including model limitations, hallucinations and failure modes.
  • Experience with model evaluation, experimentation, prompting or AI system iteration, and the ability to turn findings into practical product decisions.
  • The ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear requirements, measurable outcomes and executable plans.
  • Strong judgement and a collaborative approach, with the confidence to challenge engineers and researchers constructively.
  • A hands-on approach to shipping, experimentation and learning, with the independence to take significant ownership in a fast-moving, zero-to-one environment.
  • An engineering background, experience shipping AI-heavy consumer products or previous zero-to-one product experience would be an advantage.
