Product Owner / Business Analyst – Indices

£75,000 – £90,000 + Bonus Location: London Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days in the office Position: AVP/associate Type: Permanent

The Role

We are supporting a leading market infrastructure firm with the appointment of a Product Owner / Business Analyst within a specialist financial markets function. This is a broad and commercially focused role combining product ownership, business analysis and project delivery, with a particular focus on indices and the infrastructure supporting index-related activity.

You will work closely with stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Sales and Product, helping to understand market and client requirements, identify opportunities for development and support the delivery of new and enhanced capabilities.

The role offers a good balance of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery, making it well suited to someone who enjoys understanding how products work, working with technical teams and seeing initiatives through to implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development and enhancement of index-related products, services and capabilities.
  • Building a strong understanding of indices, index products and what underpins index trades.
  • Working closely with Operations and Engineering to understand business requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Partnering with Sales and Product to understand client and market requirements and identify where further development may be needed.
  • Gathering and documenting requirements, supporting prioritisation and helping to drive initiatives through to delivery.
  • Balancing strategic product work with hands-on project delivery, from initial concept through to implementation.
  • Acting as a key link between commercial, operational and technical stakeholders.
  • Supporting product strategy and identifying opportunities to improve existing products, processes and capabilities.
  • Contributing to wider change and project initiatives across the product function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
