Insight Global are seeking a Commercial Technology Product Owner (Salesforce Platform) for a leading global consumer goods organisation.
This position requires 2-3 days onsite in London, UK for a 9-month contract and is classified as Inside IR35.
The Commercial Technology Product Owner will lead the strategy, delivery, and evolution of the organisation's Salesforce ecosystem across Retail and Foodservice business units. Acting as the primary technology owner, this individual will be responsible for driving Salesforce platform initiatives, leading digital transformation programmes, and ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of scalable commercial technology solutions.
This is a highly visible, cross-functional leadership position that requires a blend of product ownership, stakeholder management, commercial understanding, and hands-on experience delivering enterprise Salesforce transformations.
Must-Have Requirements Include:
- Proven experience leading Salesforce implementation and delivery programmes within large enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
- Experience across one or more Salesforce products, including: Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud, Salesforce Data Cloud, Salesforce Sales Cloud.
- Experience owning product roadmaps and translating business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both business and technology teams.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams focused on integrations, automation, APIs, and enterprise technology platforms.
- Understanding of customer data, CRM, commercial processes, analytics, and digital customer journeys.
- Demonstrated success delivering measurable business outcomes through technology investments.
- Experience working within Agile product delivery environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to leadership.

Plusses Include:
- Experience within FMCG, Consumer Goods, Retail, Foodservice, or B2B commercial environments.
- Salesforce Data Cloud expertise.
- Experience working within a Salesforce Centre of Excellence (CoE) model.
- Knowledge of customer data platforms, lead-to-cash processes, and digital commerce ecosystems.
- Familiarity with SAP integrations, customer segmentation, syndicated data, and commercial analytics.
- Salesforce certifications and/or experience managing Salesforce implementation partners.
- Additional language skills, particularly Russian or Italian.
- Strong PowerPoint and executive presentation skills.
- Experience with Salesforce Agentforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end Salesforce product roadmap across Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Consumer Goods Cloud, and Data Cloud.
- Lead platform implementations, enhancements, and adoption programmes across commercial functions.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Digital, Analytics, Retail, Foodservice, and IT teams to prioritise and deliver high-value capabilities.
- Define and prioritise product backlogs, balancing business value, technical feasibility, and organisational readiness.
- Lead solution design discussions alongside architects, engineers, and implementation partners.
- Drive platform governance, scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Oversee integrations between Salesforce and enterprise platforms including ERP, analytics, customer data, and digital commerce systems.
- Develop data and automation capabilities that support customer intelligence, segmentation, targeting, and commercial decision-making.
- Establish success metrics, track value realisation, and measure business impact across commercial technology investments.
- Present recommendations and programme updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
