About Rapid Health

Help practices transform how they deliver care.

At Rapid Health, we are reshaping how patients access healthcare through intelligent, autonomous triage. Smart Triage is already used by over 3 million patients in NHS primary care, helping practices manage demand safely and get patients to the right care faster. Rapid Health is entering its next stage of growth. Smart Triage remains the foundation of the business, HEAL is the weighted near-term opportunity, and our wider platform ambition means we need stronger product ownership, delivery discipline and regulated product capability as we scale.

Role Summary

We are looking for a Product Owner to help shape and deliver the next stage of Rapid Health’s product development. This is a hands-on product ownership and delivery role in a fast-moving healthtech environment. You will own the product backlog, turn business and user needs into clear requirements and establish a structured, pragmatic planning and delivery rhythm.

Working across Technology, Clinical, Customer Success, QA and Operations, you will bring together customer, clinical, regulatory and strategic priorities and translate them into clear, prioritised product work. A key part of the role is creating clarity across the business. You will need to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring people understand what is being built, why it matters, what is blocked and what decisions are needed.

Purpose

To own product backlog quality and support structured product delivery across Smart Triage, HEAL and Rapid Health’s wider platform development. The Product Owner will translate customer, clinical, regulatory and business priorities into clear product requirements and maintain visibility from strategic roadmap through to delivery. The role will improve delivery flow, strengthen release readiness, reduce ambiguity for engineering and help create a scalable product operating model as Rapid Health grows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll thrive here if you

  • Are comfortable bringing structure to ambiguity and building workable processes where they do not yet exist.
  • Can turn complex customer, clinical and business needs into clear product requirements.
  • Understand agile principles but are pragmatic about applying the right planning and delivery cadence for the team.
  • Can work credibly with engineers and understand enough technical context to challenge, clarify and make sensible trade-offs.
  • Care about product outcomes and user value, not simply completing tickets.
  • Are a strong communicator who can simplify complex information and adapt your communication to different audiences.
  • Can connect Technology with the wider business without becoming a bottleneck.
  • Are proactive, commercially aware and comfortable working in a growing company where not everything is already defined.

Key responsibilities

Product backlog ownership

  • Own and maintain the product backlog across Smart Triage and wider platform priorities.
  • Improve backlog structure and hygiene, removing duplication and ensuring work is clear and appropriately prioritised.
  • Separate planned product work from defects, support escalations and reactive requests.

Requirements and readiness

  • Translate agreed product direction into clear user stories, requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure work is sufficiently understood and ready before it enters engineering.
  • Identify dependencies, risks and unresolved questions early.

Planning and delivery

  • Establish and lead an appropriate planning and delivery cadence, including backlog refinement, delivery planning, review and release readiness.
  • Track priorities, dependencies, blockers and decisions through to delivery.
  • Help improve delivery structure and predictability as the business scales.

Prioritisation and trade-offs

  • Make trade-offs visible across customer needs, clinical and regulatory requirements, technical constraints, defects and strategic product work.
  • Escalate priority conflicts where leadership decisions are required and ensure agreed outcomes flow into the backlog and roadmap.

Ideal Profile

  • Experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Product Delivery Lead or similar in a software, SaaS or B2B technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of backlog management, product delivery and pragmatic agile ways of working.
  • Experience writing clear user stories, requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Strong prioritisation, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to make complex information clear and actionable.
