Senior Product Owner - London hybrid - £65-70k
Most PO roles doing the rounds right now are backlog admin dressed up as strategy. You inherit someone else's mess, keep tickets moving, and never get near the parts that actually shape the product.
This one's the opposite. You're not maintaining, you're replacing. You'd own the end to end replacement of an application that the people using it currently can't stand, and it's the most used app in the business, with 20-30k people on it every month. When it gets better, thousands of people feel it straight away.
You'd sit inside a digital team embedded in a much larger professional services business. They've operated like a startup for six years, building tools for their own consultants, several of which are now sold on to competitors as white-label products. Global backing, without most of the red tape.
The old system is clunky and unintuitive, so the frontend journey is a big part of the job. You'll work hand in glove with designers on how people actually move through it, alongside the data and migration side of making sure nothing breaks when it all moves across. If you're more energised by the backend and treat design as someone else's problem, this probably isn't the one.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Day to day, you'd be working with:
- A Senior Product Manager who owns the domain and is your line manager
- Two designers and two product analysts who act as your runners
- Three engineering pods of seven during the MVP phase, scaling back to one pod of 5-7 once the initial build is done
The build has only just kicked off, so you're joining at the start, with plenty planned beyond the MVP. Delivery is a flexible scrum, not sprint theatre, with real weight on finishing what's in flight before pulling in new work. AI tooling is used day to day (Google AI Studio for prototyping, Claude and Claude Design being piloted, NotebookLM for user research), but stories are still written and owned by humans.
What we're looking for:
- Around 4-5 years+ as a Product Owner in a cross-functional software delivery team, comfortable in a CI/CD environment
- Real experience working with designers on complex user journeys
- Someone who can get up to speed quickly and run with autonomy in a complex area
- Ideally, you've owned a product replacement or migration before
- You bring people with you, but you'll challenge senior stakeholders when a decision doesn't stack up, and make a call without needing to build up to it
