HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.
Experienced Product Owner, End User Computing (EUC) Remediation
We’re looking for an experienced Product Owner, End User Computing (EUC) Remediation to lead the long-term capability for reducing, replacing and retiring end user computing solutions across the Group.
This is a strategic and delivery-focused role. You’ll turn a complex estate of business-built tools into a clear strategy, prioritised roadmap and practical delivery pipeline—helping strengthen controls, reduce risk and ensure colleagues have appropriate, sustainable alternatives for their automation, reporting and processing needs.
You’ll work across Shared Services, Technology, Finance, Operations, Risk, Architecture and business teams, influencing decisions and delivering outcomes across a global, matrixed organisation.
Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Own the strategy, roadmap and priorities for EUC remediation and retirement across the Group.
- Maintain a clear pipeline covering both known solutions and newly identified items.
- Define appropriate remediation approaches, including replacement, migration, productionisation, control uplift and retirement.
- Prioritise activity across regions, businesses and functions, balancing risk reduction, business value, dependencies and delivery capacity.
- Lead product requirements for capabilities used to replace, migrate or remove EUC solutions.
- Shape controlled strategic alternatives that meet genuine business needs while improving resilience, transparency and control.
- Track progress, outcomes, benefits, risks and dependencies through reliable management information.
- Provide clear recommendations and constructive challenge to senior Technology, Operations, Risk and business stakeholders.
- Lead a small direct team and provide direction across wider matrixed delivery and subject matter teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
