Base Location
You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Reading or Havant

Salary
£59,800 - £89,800 + performance-related bonus and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern

The role

As a Product Owner within the Identity team, you will play a key role in the delivery and improvement of our Identity Services. The identity team are accountable for the technical delivery and continuous improvement of our Group Identity Platforms.

This role will involve accountability for the technical components of our Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) services, and will involve working with the Identity lead, fellow product owners, Cyber Defence colleagues, Architecture and our IT Operations partner among others

You will

  • Work with colleagues across the organisation including Group IT, Architecture, Cyber Defence, Risk and Control on the delivery of SSE’s IGA strategy, and share insight on best practices
  • Prioritise product improvements based on colleague needs, business outcomes, and vendor’s evergreen updates.
  • Be a point of technical guidance and governance for our IT Operations partner who will provide day-to-day operational support of the platform and handling of requests
  • Support health and hygiene deliverables to reduce Operational risk across both across the platform itself and support use cases into the wider IT environment.
  • Work with the wider team to ensure compliance with required policies, controls and regulation, and support the Identity lead and management with reporting and budget planning for the technologies within the IGA service offering

You have

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or senior administrator for Identity Governance & Administration products or services, preferably including SailPoint
  • Experience with agile ways of working, backlog prioritisation, and adapting to rapid change in cloud/SaaS based (evergreen) service models
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
  • A strategic, value-driven mindset with experience driving adoption and change management
  • Awareness of security assurance and design best practices i.e. NIST or CIS, and preferably experience working in regulated environments
