Product Owner - Corporate Data Products

We're recruiting for an experienced Product Owner to join a major expansion programme, working across a portfolio of corporate data products and services. The role is a 6-month contract opportunity with 3 days in the office, which is near Hounslow.

This role sits within a corporate data function and will focus on defining product strategy, managing delivery roadmaps, and working with stakeholders across finance, people, PMO, and wider business functions to ensure data products meet both current and future business needs.

You'll act as the voice of the customer, balancing business priorities, technology requirements, and delivery objectives whilst leading multidisciplinary teams in a DevOps environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop the roadmap for a suite of corporate data products.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders up to Director level to define priorities and strategic direction.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable product backlogs and delivery plans.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and delivery teams within an Azure-based data environment.
  • Manage internal and third-party delivery partners to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Balance functional business requirements with technical change and platform improvements.
  • Support investment planning and prioritisation across the product portfolio.
  • Lead issue resolution and service improvement activities alongside wider technology teams.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner delivering enterprise-scale data or analytics products.
  • Strong understanding of corporate data domains such as Finance, HR, PMO, Planning, or Business Operations.
  • Experience working with senior business stakeholders and executive leadership teams.
  • Ability to define product roadmaps, prioritise backlogs, and manage competing demands.
  • Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery environments.
  • Understanding of modern cloud-based data platforms and data ecosystems.

  • Experience working within Azure data environments.
  • Exposure to Databricks, Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, or enterprise reporting platforms.
  • Experience delivering data products within large, complex organisations.
