Product Owner – Legacy and Enabler
The Product Owner – Legacy and Enabler is responsible for owning and evolving a portfolio of business-critical legacy and enabling technologies that support World Courier’s global depot, warehouse, document management, vendor management, and finance-related workflows. This includes the platform used by depots for operational processes, as well as enabling platforms such as Filebound and key liaison responsibilities with Finance applications including Tradeshift, SAP S/4HANA, and EWM.
Why this role matters
Legacy and enabling technologies are foundational to how World Courier operates day-to-day across global depot and warehouse environments, supports critical depot workflows such as inbound processing, outbound movement, quarantine handling, returns, kitting, and related operational activities. Enabling technologies such as document management and finance-adjacent applications ensure operational processes remain connected, compliant, auditable, and aligned with enterprise systems.
A key measure of success will be the ability to stabilize, simplify, and modernize this mixed portfolio of custom and commercial off-the-shelf platforms while ensuring strong vendor performance, effective stakeholder engagement, and practical alignment with broader transformation efforts such as SAP S/4HANA and EWM-enabled process evolution.
What You’ll Do
Product Ownership & Delivery
- Co-own and manage the product backlog for legacy and enabling technology platforms, ensuring clear prioritization aligned to depot operations, compliance, finance, vendor performance, and enterprise transformation priorities.
- Drive delivery in an agile environment, working closely with engineering, delivery, support, vendor, and business teams to deliver reliable enhancements, fixes, upgrades, and process improvements.
- Translate operational, finance, compliance, and vendor management needs into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritization decisions, and measurable outcomes.
Product Scope & Evolution
- Own product delivery across:
- CTM-STAR legacy depot and warehouse technology supporting inbound, outbound, quarantine, returns, kitting, and related operational workflows, as well as its successor product(s)
- Enabling technologies that support operational execution, documentation, workflow management, vendor oversight, and compliance
- Finance application touchpoints and liaison responsibilities with platforms such as Tradeshift and SAP S/4HANA
- Continuously evolve the portfolio to support:
- Operational reliability and efficiency across global depot processes
- Modernization of custom and COTS platforms without disrupting critical business operations
- Clear integration and process alignment with enterprise systems and finance applications
- Improved vendor accountability, service quality, and roadmap transparency
- Compliance, auditability, security, and data quality improvements across the portfolio

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
