An innovative life sciences organisation is seeking a technology professional to support the evolution of laboratory informatics platforms, research data workflows and scientific technology systems. You'll work at the intersection of science, data and technology, helping to deliver solutions that enable cutting edge research.

The Opportunity

This position will play a key role in supporting laboratory information systems, developing data models and workflows, and partnering with scientific and data teams to enhance research capabilities. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert for informatics systems while contributing to wider technology transformation initiatives.

  • Administer and enhance laboratory information systems supporting a large scientific user base.
  • Gather business requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement new workflows.
  • Support the development of laboratory informatics data models from raw data through to research outputs.
  • Work closely with scientific, data and technology teams to deliver system improvements and data pipeline initiatives.
  • Support the expansion and modernisation of scientific software platforms.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of future laboratory technology capabilities.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience supporting, administering or developing complex business critical IT systems.
  • Strong business analysis experience within technology focused environments.
  • Demonstrated success delivering system implementations and change projects.
  • Experience designing workflows and processes in collaboration with end users.
  • Ability to work effectively across matrix organisations and multidisciplinary teams.

Your Background

  • Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) administration experience.
  • Life sciences, biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Product ownership experience for complex technology platforms.
  • Exposure to data engineering and data pipeline delivery.
  • Experience with laboratory informatics platforms such as Revvity or Mosaic.
