About Monument Technology Limited

Monument Technology provides everything needed to build and run a bank with an open, configurable, end-to-end banking platform as a service which uses best-in-class components to empower small and medium-sized banks around the world to thrive in the digital age. Monument Technology takes the proven, end-to-end platform developed for Monument Bank, the leading bank for the mass affluent, and makes it available to financial institutions in the UK and globally as a licensed Banking Platform as a Service.

Our platform is a full-stack ‘bank or building-society-in-a-box’, delivering all the functionality needed to run and grow a modern, digital-led financial institution, including native mobile app and web experience, servicing, core and all the back-end technologies, integrated in a single, cloud-native solution (“Bank-in-a-Box”).

Monument Technology provides everything in one solution, taking care of all third-party contracts and integrations as well as ongoing maintenance and future platform enhancements - all for one annual licence fee, allowing our customers to embrace the most modern technology available, without any of the complexity.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Product Owner to take end-to-end ownership of our App and Web front-end channels, from discovery through to delivery, across full banking platform implementations for our clients.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role with significant client visibility and real ownership from day one. You’ll be the translator between design, engineering and the client: turning design intent and business requirements into clear, buildable, testable features, and making sure the feedback loops between users and engineers actually change what gets built.

You’ll be equally comfortable discussing component states with a front-end engineer and walking a client through their onboarding journey, pitching the same idea correctly for whoever is in the room. You’ll work closely with front-end and back-end developers, the delivery team and the wider product team, and you’ll be client-facing throughout, present through delivery rather than just at the handover.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Own the App and Web front-end experience end to end, from discovery through to go-live, taking direct accountability for the requirements that turn design intent into buildable features.
  • Write clear, unambiguous user stories and acceptance criteria that front-end developers, back-end developers and testers can all act on without further clarification.
  • Act as the trusted translator between design, engineering and the client, resolving ambiguity and pitching the same concept correctly for technical and non-technical audiences alike.
  • Run discovery sessions directly with clients, representing the product throughout delivery and keeping stakeholders aligned on what has been agreed, what is outstanding, and what happens next.
  • Validate concepts and prototypes with users before committing engineering time, running user testing and concept testing and driving a measurable reduction in wasted engineering effort.
  • Take direct ownership of backlog management and integrate fully into sprint planning and refinement, sequencing work with the delivery team for smooth releases.
  • Spot dependencies and trade-offs across the stack, using working knowledge of front-end and back-end architecture to challenge scope constructively where a request is not feasible or adds unnecessary complexity.
  • Deliver end-to-end requirements for origination and servicing implementations through to UAT and go-live, including gap analysis, process maps and agreed acceptance criteria.
  • Operate effectively within a regulated financial services environment, ensuring that regulatory context actively shapes product design and requirements rather than simply constraining them.

WE LOOK FOR PEOPLE WITH

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager for a customer-facing App and/or Web product is a must-have.
  • Proven ability to translate design and business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria is essential.
  • Working knowledge of front-end (app/web) and back-end architecture, sufficient to identify dependencies and trade-offs across the stack, with hands-on comfort reading API documentation.
  • A track record of running continuous improvement through user testing, concept testing, and prototype validation before engineering time is committed.
  • Confidence engaging directly with clients, leading discovery sessions and representing the product throughout delivery, including with senior stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with backlog tooling such as Jira and full participation in agile sprint ceremonies.
  • Experience in financial services or another regulated industry is desirable, as is familiarity with the regulatory context of FCA and PRA regulated deposit-taking institutions.
  • A formal BA qualification (BCS, IIBA CBAP or equivalent) and familiarity with design systems and component libraries (e.g. Figma-based) are desirable.
  • The character the role needs: a genuine team player who adapts when priorities shift, thrives in a fast-moving fintech environment, and brings quiet confidence, structured thinking and calm under pressure.
