Product Owner (Matchmaking & Relationship)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Owner (Matchmaking & Relationship) based in United Kingdom.

This role owns the post-purchase product experience, with a direct focus on helping paying customers reach meaningful value quickly. You’ll take end-to-end ownership of activation, matching, relevance, and engagement, from initial hypotheses through measurable results. The role combines product strategy, experimentation, customer journey design, personalization, and recommendation systems. You’ll identify bottlenecks and growth opportunities through data, research, and customer insights, then translate them into focused product improvements. Working closely with engineers, designers, analysts, and data specialists, you’ll move ideas into production and continuously iterate based on results. This is an opportunity to shape a discovery-driven product where matching quality and customer experience are central to product success.

Accountabilities:

  • Own the post-purchase customer journey, focusing on helping paying customers reach a quality match as quickly as possible.
  • Optimize offer volume and presentation so customers receive an appropriate number of relevant options without being overwhelmed or underserved.
  • Improve recommendation relevance and customer trust in the options presented throughout the experience.
  • Increase the volume and quality of relevant invitations received by paying customers.
  • Improve the likelihood that new customers form a quality match during their first week.
  • Design engagement mechanics such as gamification, nudges, reminders, and conversation reactivation features that encourage customers to return.
  • Analyze matching parameters across user segments and use segmentation, personalization, and data enrichment to improve discovery and matching outcomes.
  • Identify bottlenecks and growth opportunities in the post-purchase journey using quantitative data, qualitative research, and product insight.
  • Translate opportunities into clear, testable hypotheses with defined success metrics and requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, analysts, and data/ML specialists to deliver product improvements efficiently.
  • Manage requirements, priorities, and timelines while maintaining predictable delivery.
  • Run A/B tests and other experiments, analyze product metrics and outcomes, and scale improvements that demonstrate meaningful results.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
