Overview of the Team
The team consists of three Product Owners reporting to the Director of Product Management based in Paris, France. This role will work closely with global stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams, supporting a highly collaborative and distributed operating model.
Role Overview
The Product Owner, Platform will own and prioritize the platform roadmap that enables the successful delivery of IPC's strategic product portfolio. Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, this role will translate platform strategy into actionable product requirements and measurable outcomes.
The successful candidate will work closely with distributed engineering teams, architects, and operational stakeholders to deliver platform capabilities that improve reliability, scalability, security, and speed of innovation. This role requires strong product ownership skills, technical fluency, and the ability to balance customer, business, and engineering priorities in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the platform product backlog to ensure alignment with business priorities and strategic objectives.
- Define and communicate product requirements, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that enable successful execution.
- Partner with Engineering and Architecture teams to prioritize platform investments that improve scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and business stakeholders to translate strategic initiatives into platform capabilities.
- Drive roadmap planning and release prioritization based on business value, customer impact, and technical dependencies.
- Analyze platform performance metrics and user feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support delivery teams throughout the Agile development lifecycle, ensuring requirements are clear and actionable.
- Work closely with Security, Compliance, and Operations teams to support platform governance and risk-management objectives.
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment across multiple functions and geographies.
- Contribute to the evolution of platform standards, best practices, and product management disciplines.

How You Will Make an Impact
- Accelerate delivery of strategic platform capabilities that support IPC's product portfolio.
- Improve engineering efficiency through clear prioritization and well-defined requirements.
- Drive enhancements in platform reliability, scalability, availability, and operational excellence.
- Enable faster product innovation through reusable platform services and capabilities.
- Improve stakeholder satisfaction through transparent roadmap planning and execution.
- Support the continued modernization of IPC's technology ecosystem.
- Contribute to measurable improvements in platform adoption, quality, and business outcomes.
Essential Skills and Experience to be Successful in this Role
- 2-5 years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or a related platform-focused role.
- Proven experience managing product backlogs and delivering products within Agile and Scrum environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, platform services, APIs, and modern software delivery practices.
- Experience partnering closely with engineering and architecture teams on technical products.
- Ability to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable product outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience prioritizing competing initiatives and managing dependencies across multiple teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience in fintech, capital markets, financial services, SaaS, or regulated technology environments.
- Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with observability, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or platform engineering concepts.
- Familiarity with trading communications, connectivity services, or mission-critical enterprise platforms.
- Experience with API platforms, developer platforms, or integration ecosystems.
- Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or similar certification.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations relevant to financial markets.
