Product Owner / Product Builder
£650 per day | Outside IR35 | 6 months | London / Hybrid - 3 days per week
The Role
We are supporting a specialist organisation within the London insurance market with the delivery of a new digital claims platform. They are looking for an experienced Product Owner / Product Builder who can combine traditional product ownership with a more hands-on approach to solution delivery. This is not a role for someone who purely manages a backlog or gathers requirements. You will take ownership of the product direction while working closely with business and technology teams to help shape, configure and deliver the solution.
The platform will make use of modern technologies including AI-enabled capabilities, prompt engineering and low-code/no-code functionality, so experience working within an innovative product environment would be highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product vision, roadmap, backlog and delivery priorities.
- Gather and translate business requirements into clear product outcomes and deliverable features.
- Work closely with claims stakeholders to understand existing processes, pain points and opportunities for improvement.
- Operate in a hybrid Product Owner/Product Builder capacity, supporting elements of solution configuration and delivery.
- Work closely with technical teams around APIs, integrations and connectivity with wider business systems.
- Define acceptance criteria and ensure appropriate testing and validation processes are in place.
- Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, end users and technical delivery teams.
- Take ownership of the product from initial requirements through build, testing and implementation.
- Drive decisions and maintain momentum within a fast-paced delivery environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
