We are seeking a Product Owner to join the Omnia programme.

This opportunity is for a finance focused Product Owner Developer to join the Omnia programme within CIB Data & Analytics. Omnia is CIB and Commercial Banking’s strategic tool for Client and Business Analytics. It is both a detailed data asset and an interactive suite of reporting and insights, providing common understanding of the value our clients generate domestically and globally, and informing client engagement, opportunity identification, and better articulation of HSBC’s network through investor disclosures.

This Product Owner Developer role will be part of the CIB Insights team. This is an end-to-end delivery team within the wider Omnia programme which builds bespoke reporting capabilities for senior use cases not serviced by the core Omnia platform. It is a vital part of the overall Omnia proposition.

In this role, you will:

  • End-to-end ownership of technology change delivery, overseeing the full transformation and delivery lifecycle from requirements documentation and UX/UI design to development, deployment and testing
  • Principle face-off to key Business stakeholders and Data teams for each deliverable, ensuring appropriate consideration of requirements and engagement throughout implementation
  • Develop a strong understanding of business and data structures and operations in order to translate business need into technical requirements
  • Own any data analysis required to inform analytics scope and design
  • Drive the Insights & Analytics strategy on behalf of the global lead
  • Monitor and escalate risks, issues and dependencies as appropriate

  • Extensive experience delivering finance and technology transformation
  • End-to-end experience of technology delivery, including requirements, testing and deployment.
  • Highly skilled QlikSense developer, with demonstrable experience in SQL and Python
  • Skilled in data analysis, research, validation and documentation
