Our Vision 🎯

To empower every e-commerce business in the world to turn its data into instant access to capital.

At Uncapped, we believe that traditional credit scoring is broken. Instead of relying on backward-looking credit bureau data, we are building innovative products that turn anything from sales data to stock levels, bank transactions to marketplace performance into actionable underwriting intelligence. This is not a side feature of our product. It is the entire business.

We are moving fast, growing fast, and building the future of SME lending. We need a Product Owner who can own a product area end to end, ship consistently, and raise the bar for how we build.

Role Overview πŸš€

We are looking for a mid to senior Product Owner to own a core part of our product and drive it from idea to impact. You will own your backlog, run discovery, write clear specs, and work shoulder to shoulder with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Risk, and commercial teams to ship products customers love and the business can rely on.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role in a fast-paced, high-growth fintech. You will not be starting from scratch. We have a working platform, four live lending products, and partnerships with the biggest online retailers and embedded lending partners. Your job is to make your product area dramatically better, iteratively, while keeping it running.

About Uncapped πŸ‘«

Founded in 2019, Uncapped is a fintech company focused on providing working capital to SMEs in North America and Europe.

We leverage multiple data sources to make credit decisions faster, safer and more conveniently. We are working with the largest platforms in the world, including Amazon and Walmart, and strive to be the best alternative-lender globally.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You Will Do ✍️

  • Own a product area end to end. Take full ownership of your backlog, from discovery through delivery. Turn customer problems and commercial goals into a clear, prioritised roadmap with measurable outcomes
  • Run discovery and define the work. Talk to customers, dig into the data, and size opportunities. Write detailed specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineers can build from without guesswork
  • Ship consistently. Run your delivery cadence, keep work moving, unblock engineers, and review edge cases when it counts. Define and validate MVPs so value lands early and often
  • Drive commercial impact. Connect what you build to real business results, whether that is acquisition and top of funnel, onboarding and activation, conversion, or unit economics. Track the numbers and iterate
  • Work across a complex stakeholder map. Operate across Risk, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Operations, and Legal, plus external partners. Make sure regulatory and compliance requirements are built into the product from the start, not bolted on later

Requirements

Who you are πŸ‘€

  • You have 4+ years in product, with a track record of owning a product area and shipping it end to end in a fast-paced environment
  • You bring one of the following backgrounds:
    • Fintech commercial and growth. You have worked in fintech and driven commercial or top of funnel initiatives and customer onboarding: acquisition, activation, conversion, and the journey from first touch to a live, engaged customer
    • Financial software builder. You have built fintech or financial software products that other businesses pay to use, whether a product or a platform, and you understand what it takes to design, ship, and scale in a regulated financial environment
  • You are genuinely hands-on. You write your own specs, get into the detail, and are close to both the customer and the data
  • You are comfortable with the tension between moving fast and managing risk in a regulated environment, and you know how to build with compliance in mind
  • You communicate clearly. You can align stakeholders, explain trade-offs, and keep a cross-functional squad pointed at the same goal
  • You thrive in high-growth environments where priorities shift, and you are energised rather than frustrated by ambiguity
