Role:

The Product Owner is responsible for leading the vision, strategy, and delivery of digital products by working closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and leadership. Drive product ownership activities, backlog management, Agile delivery, stakeholder engagement, progress tracking, and adoption of AI-enabled development practices using GitHub Copilot to maximize business value and delivery efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the product roadmap, aligning delivery priorities with business objectives.
  • Gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements into a well-defined product backlog.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision, features, and success metrics.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Track delivery progress, dependencies, risks, and key milestones to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Define and communicate user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements to delivery teams.
  • Work closely with development, testing, and UX teams to deliver high-quality product increments.
  • Drive adoption and effective utilization of GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development practices.
  • Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and usage trends to inform continuous improvements.
  • Provide regular status updates and reporting to leadership and business stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong Product Ownership and Product Lifecycle Management experience.
  • Proven stakeholder management and business engagement skills across multiple levels.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs and user stories.
  • Strong delivery tracking, governance, and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience translating business requirements into actionable development tasks.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and digital product delivery.
  • Hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-powered developer productivity tools.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Professional certifications such as PSPO, CSPO, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or Scrum Master.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile delivery tools.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience driving AI adoption, developer productivity initiatives, or digital transformation programs.
  • Exposure to data analytics, product metrics, and customer experience optimization.
