We’re seeking a proactive, curious, and driven Product Owner to help shape the future of Thrive’s platform.

Purpose of Role

You’ll play a key role in defining, prioritising, and delivering product improvements that simplify financial wellbeing for businesses and empower employees to take control of their finances.

You will be the glue between our software engineering team and our strategic roadmap, working in close collaboration with our key stakeholders across: Strategy, Operations, Design, Marketing and the Product Leadership.

This is an opportunity for someone who loves solving problems, thrives in ambiguity, and is excited to help build category-defining products within an early-stage, high-growth fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap. Define and prioritise epics, features and the product backlog, balancing customer value, technical feasibility and business priorities.
  • Translate strategy into delivery. Partner with engineering to break features into clear, well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria the team can build against with confidence.
  • Be the voice of the product. Produce and present product review updates and reports to leadership, communicating progress, trade-offs and impact clearly.
  • Stay close to the user. Engage with customers, employees, partners and internal teams to gather insight, validate hypotheses and continuously improve the product.
  • Shape strategic priorities. Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to define roadmaps that align with wider commercial and strategic goals.
  • Champion quality. Ensure everything shipped meets user needs, regulatory requirements and business objectives — and hold the bar high on simplicity, usability and impact.
  • Build the ecosystem. Work with third parties to integrate complementary products and services into Thrive.
  • Grow with us. As Thrive scales, so will the scope of this role — with a clear path toward broader product leadership as the platform and team mature.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a tech-led environment.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive initiatives forward.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, you’re comfortable aligning technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable user stories and roadmaps.
  • Experience working with agile teams and iterative product development.
  • Passion for building products that have a real-world, positive impact.
  • Financial services, pensions, or employee benefits experience is desirable but not essential, curiosity, drive, and user focus matter more.

What you can expect from us

  • A role with genuine scope to shape strategy, not just execute against someone else's — a natural step up for a mid-senior PO/M ready for more ownership.
  • A supportive, high-performing culture that invests in learning, development and mentoring, and celebrates the wins along the way.
  • Direct access to senior leadership and the chance to make a visible, measurable impact from day one.
  • Hybrid working that respects your time, alongside a competitive salary and benefits package.
  • The stability and resources of an established, growing financial services group, combined with the pace and ownership of an early-stage product team.
