About the opportunity

We are working as the internal recruitment partner for our client, a global organisation providing specialist logistics solutions to the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and handle products with a strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of quantities and part numbers.
  • Ensuring that the fulfilment manager/product picking supervisor are aware of any stock adjustments that are required after pick is complete.
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies, damages, or quality issues.
  • Comply with stock control and storage protocols.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including appropriate use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
  • Support stores activities and fulfilment operations as required.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in a warehouse or fulfilment role is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to handling goods.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Computer literate – WMS experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach with willingness to work overtime when required.
  • Must live within a commutable distance to the site in West Horndon.

In return we are offering:

  • A highly competitive salary starting at £26,500 raising to £27,500 on the successful completion of probation period.
  • Working hours – Monday – Thursday 7am – 4pm and every other Friday 7.30am – 4.00pm.
  • Overtime available during peak periods at an enhanced rate of pay.
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays and Christmas closure (which increases after 5 years).
