Product & Programme Manager

Salary: £45,123 pa

Job Scope

The museum is a year into a digital transformation programme spanning digital and building works. Reporting to the Head of IT and AV, the role will support existing CRM, ticketing and retail system integrations to improve workflows and ROI across the museum.

The role will lead and drive a programme of Projects, overseeing planning, stakeholder management, design, configuration and organisation-wide implementation, with the outcome of maximising benefits in line with stakeholder needs.

The Design Museum is seeking a proactive Product Specialist to support and enhance our information systems and to Project Manage and deliver the remaining transformation projects to improve business processes and digital services.

Working within the IT & AV team, approximately half of the role will focus on administering and improving information systems and training users, with the remaining time dedicated to delivering the digital transformation roadmap and leading planned small-scale digital projects.

This role suits someone experienced in managing a range of systems including EPoS, websites, CMS and CRM, who enjoys combining hands-on support, project delivery and business change, or wants to develop these skills.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential

  • PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent project management qualification or experience.
  • Proven delivery of multiple SaaS ERP implementations, ideally including Microsoft, cloud-based, and trading systems.
  • Strong business analysis skills, producing process maps across systems such as websites, EPoS, CRM, ecommerce, and data/collection management.
  • Ability to produce accurate reports and manipulate data to meet user needs.
  • Strong understanding of cross-departmental business processes and complex system design.
  • Experience training non-specialists on complex financial systems.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Confident managing upwards, influencing senior stakeholders and directing decision-making.
  • Able to communicate complex financial and technical information clearly to non-specialist audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot systems and communicate changes effectively.

Desirable

  • Experience in cultural, public sector, charity, or complex service organisations.
  • Experience utilising AI tools and software (i.e., ChatGPT and Copilot).

Benefits

  • Salary: up to £45,123 per annum, dependent on experience
  • Holidays: 25 days per annum [pro rata] + Christmas eve (museum closed)
  • Hours: 35 per week/5 days per week
  • Location: Design Museum Kensington is the place of work, with a hybrid arrangement of 60% of an employee’s role to be performed at the museum and 40% remote.
  • Closing date: Sunday 25 October (midnight)
  • Interviews: 1st Round – 5 & 6 November and 2nd Round – 11 November
