Product Governance Manager

The Product Governance manager is responsible to oversee and ensure the governance framework for all AXA Partners products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, alignment with organizational strategy, and adherence to best practices in product management.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product governance framework that outlines policies, procedures, and standards for the development, management, and review of Motor, Home, and Health products.
  • Monitor and interpret relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure all products comply with applicable AXA and external laws and regulations, including PAP and POG.
  • Liaise with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory changes and ensure timely updates to product offerings.
  • Oversee the product lifecycle from ideation through to retirement, ensuring that all products are regularly reviewed and assessed for performance, relevance, and compliance.
  • Establish criteria for product approval and discontinuation, ensuring decisions align with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Identify and assess risks associated with Motor, Home, and Health insurance products, implementing strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits of product offerings and governance processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, sales, and customer service, to ensure alignment with governance policies and practices.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding product governance issues, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and utilize performance metrics to monitor the effectiveness of product governance processes and product performance.
  • Prepare reports for senior management detailing product governance activities, compliance status, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop training programs and resources to promote awareness of product governance policies and practices among relevant staff members.
  • Conduct workshops or seminars to ensure that teams understand their roles and responsibilities in the governance framework.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance product governance processes and practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in product governance, integrating relevant insights into the governance framework with version & change control.
  • Ensure that product governance practices prioritize customer needs and enhance customer satisfaction, aligning product offerings with market demands.
  • Support all other areas of the Global Value proposition as and when required.

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience working in international environment. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience in insurance sector (knowledge of insurance regulations, GWP, ECR, Loss Ratio, Deal structures, Fronting, POG governance, etc).
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex projects.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
  • English a must, other language (French, Spanish, etc.) is a strong plus.
