Product Quality and Technical Services Manager

One Aftersales are recruiting for a Product Quality and Technical Services Manager based in the VWG Service and Technical Department in Wymbush, Milton Keynes.

Role Overview

Reporting into the Head of Service and Technical, you will lead the Product Quality Specialists, Technical Support team and Technical Service Centre (TSC) team. You will be responsible for consumer protection relating to Volkswagen Group products, the management of product and safety issues, and the delivery of cohesive technical support across the Group brands and networks. Through strong factory, Brand, legal and regulatory relationships, you will drive product quality, first-time fix and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Motivating a skilled team to achieve strong performance
  • Leading the functional design and specification of a new technical support system
  • Working with internal stakeholders and factory headquarters to drive Product Quality improvements

Skills & Experience

  • Strong leadership experience
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and develop technical teams while balancing strategic and operational priorities
  • Detailed knowledge of the Aftersales business
  • Minimum of five years’ strong technical knowledge of current vehicle technology, service and repair procedures, including extensive EV knowledge
  • Advanced interpersonal, networking, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Experience of managing product quality, technical support or safety-related issues, using trend, warranty, roadside and customer data to identify concerns and drive effective resolution
  • Ability to collaborate across brands, factories, Retailer networks, legal teams and external regulatory bodies, while managing competing priorities and protecting the customer and the business
  • Experience in change management and in driving systems and projects from initiation into mainstream use
