Product Quality Engineer

Location: Basingstoke | Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days from home)

Shape Quality Excellence in Advanced Electronics Manufacturing

Are you a quality-focused engineer with experience in electronics manufacturing and PCBA production? Do you enjoy solving complex problems, driving continuous improvement, and working closely with customers and production teams?

We are seeking a Product Quality Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business delivering complex electronic hardware solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring product quality, supporting customer satisfaction, and driving best practice across production processes.

Working closely with the Head of Product Quality, you'll be involved in everything from product inspections and root cause analysis through to process improvement initiatives and customer support activities.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Ensuring manufactured products meet quality and customer requirements through inspections and quality assessments
  • Producing and supporting FAIR reports, SCAR reports, concessions, and quality documentation
  • Leading root cause investigations and driving effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Managing customer returns and non-conformance investigations to deliver timely resolutions
  • Supporting customer audits and manufacturing visits
  • Contributing to contract reviews from a quality perspective
  • Collaborating with engineering and production teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Supporting the introduction of new manufacturing processes, equipment, and continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Experience within PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) manufacturing
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards
  • Experience working in a quality-focused manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a "right first time" mindset
  • Experience communicating with customers and internal stakeholders
