RG Sciences (RGS) is at the forefront of data and technology services, developing data and analytical tools that help investors and asset owners to understand their impact on society and the environment. Our RIFT framework quantifies companies’ positive and negative externalities in monetary terms across Customer, Employment, and Environmental impacts. We have over 5 years’ experience in developing impact data covering public and private companies. We are now adapting this company-level analysis into portfolio-level tools for pension funds and other institutional asset owners.

The Role
We are looking for a Product & Research Analyst to join our Product team. This is an early-career role suitable for a graduate or someone with approximately 0-3 years of relevant experience. You will work across impact research, data analysis, product development, and selected client projects. Your main area of ownership will be research projects relating to new and improved impact methodologies, competitor and market research, and specific company assessments.

- Identify gaps in the RGS impact framework and research potential new impact measures (such as controversies, or expanded nutritional impacts)
- Review academic evidence on measuring and monetizing societal and environmental outcomes
- Support interviews and product testing with pension funds, institutional investors and relevant experts
- Conduct user and competitor research, and produce structured product and methodology recommendations
- Review data coverage, consistency and reliability, and investigate anomalies or missing information
- Deliver relevant, actionable insights on companies to investors. Become a trusted go-to expert on core impact topics
- Prepare reports and presentations
- Support the overall mission, vision, and goals of Richmond Global Sciences
Skills and Requirements:
- Analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret data, theorize, and make decisions based on data
- Self-starter who will excel in a start-up environment by taking ownership and initiative
- Confidence working with Excel and structured datasets
- Passionate about social impact and sustainability issues and the use of data to solve them
- Excitement with the latest productivity and AI tools
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience in a quantitatively rigorous discipline (such as economics, finance, engineering, physics, or related sustainability fields)
- Ability to communicate data insights to a non-analytical audience
- Applicants need to be eligible to work in the UK

- Relevant work experience, including designing and conducting quantitative research and analyzing data preferable. Relevant knowledge or experience on specific industries would be desirable and should be highlighted in the application.
- Relevant experience with:
- Financial statements and sustainability disclosures
- Impact measurement or impact accounting
- Commercial datasets, customer research, or B2B product development
